Ruan Guang-Min
About the cartoonist
Ruan Guang-Min is well-known for depicting the life story and human feelings of Taiwan people in a sensitive, humorous fashion. Dong-Huachun Barbershop (2009), a story of how a brother and sister reconcile after their father’s death, won First Prize at the Government Information Office Comic Awards in 2009 and was adapted for TV in 2012. This was the first time an original Taiwan comic had been adapted for TV in Taiwan.
Ruan is also a winner of Golden Comic Awards (2012, 2013, 2015) and the Taiwan Comic Dream Park Comic Awards (2014). He has traveled to both Angoulême and Berlin for exchanges with international artists.

Yong-Jiu Grocery Store Vol.1-5
“Yong-Jiu” is a grocery store in Taiwan’s countryside. The name of the shop indicates that customers can find 90 percent of what they’re looking for inside, and that all the goods are durable. “Why don’t we make it 100 percent, Grandpa?” asks young Jun-Long. “Because everything needs space,” replies Grandpa. Convenience stores are filled with goods, but “Yong-Jiu” is filled with memories. This is a story of how a young man learns about life and love.
Stories & Characters
The world will be based on the comic “Yong-Jiu Grocery Store ”. The shop owner, Mr. Jun-Long will take the Thai comic characters to visit his shop. He will also become a tour guide for Thai comic characters. And take those Thai comic characters to travel in Taiwan.
